Thank you for your interest in joining the Weekapaug Yacht Club!
We welcome as members individuals and families whose summer residence lies within the Quonochontaug Pond Community, which is defined in our bylaws as consisting of “The Weekapaug Fire District (WFD), Haversham south of Route 1A, the Shelter Harbor Fire District, Ninigret Cove, the Shady Harbor Fire District, Quonochontaug Central Beach Fire District, Quonochontaug East Beach Association, and Quonochontaug West Beach Association.”
Applications for the 2023 season are now closed. Membership application for the 2024 season will re-open in the spring of 2024.

Full Members may enjoy all the member privileges the club offers which include:
Use of our beautiful new clubhouse for informal social gatherings during the Summer as well as during the Spring and Fall shoulder seasons.
Enrollment of children in the junior sailing program and Kids Camp (Family memberships only).
Attendance at all club social events for families, children and adults (please note some special events may limit the number of guests and/or require the purchase of tickets).
Free use of WYC kayaks and paddle-boards.
Free use of club sailboats (Beetles, Quests, and Sunfish).
Participation in fleet racing (Beetles, Optis, and 420s)
Participation in adult sailing classes and private lessons.
For members who are not WFD residents, parking at the Inn Beach lot in the designated club parking area. For WFD residents with a WFD parking sticker, parking in the WFD designated parking area.
Mooring rental in the harbor (subject to availability).
Use of the boat ramp to launch or pull boats.
Storage of a dinghy, paddle-board, kayak, or other watercraft on the beach.
Rental of lockers inside clubhouse (subject to availability).
Use of the clubhouse for private member events such as weddings or dinner parties (subject to the provisions in the Club Rules).
Right to vote at club meetings with two votes per Full Family Membership and one vote per Full Individual Membership.
Individual Junior Memberships are available for individuals who are between 21 and 30 years of age. This membership is non-voting and will extend all the privileges of the club, except the right to have a mooring.
Patron Memberships are offered to individuals who support the mission of the club through their financial support. Patron Members do not have any club privileges and may not vote on club matters but are invited to attend a select number of club events during the year including seasonal opening events, awards nights, and the Thanksgiving Chowderfest. Patron Members may visit the clubhouse and other social events as guests of members subject to the club’s guest policy.
The club offers a Visiting Family Membership and a Visiting Individual Membership for individuals wishing to join the club for two weeks or less. Visiting Memberships may be limited by the availability of space in our junior sailing program and Kids Camp. These memberships are non-voting and will extend to those members all the privileges of the club except the right to have a mooring. This will allow visiting families to enroll their children in the sailing program and attend social events during their visit.
